Regret Free Parenting

As a new parent, I thought this would be a great book to snatch up. If there's one thing that new parents want to know, it's that we're not totally messing up at everything. (Sometimes it can feel that way.) I thought that Regret Free Parenting, written by Catherine Hickem, was a very nice read, especially for new parents. I don't know that it would be the greatest book for parents who have had children for a while, though. I could see where the book would be frustrating for people who have their routines and have their ways of parenting engrained. Sometimes when books don't jive with my way of thinking, I tend to be skeptical of the book, or even stop reading all together. That being said, I would definitely recommend this book for a new parent. Also, it would be a good read for open-minded not-so-new parents. If there's one thing that parents like, it's reassurance that they are raising their children the right way. For this reason, I am giving Regret Free Parenting a score of 4 stars out of a possible 5 stars.

Note to the reader: I received this book for free from the BookSneeze program, through Thomas Nelson Publishers.
