J.R.R. Tolkien Christian Encounters

The Christian encounters series is a very interesting series published by Thomas Nelson publishers. There have been many books on people I had not realized were Christians. In this volume, we learn about someone who was very much an historical Christian. His works are full of Christian allegory. His most famous works, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, are no exception. I don’t want to give too much detail about the things you’ll learn while reading this book, but it is definitely an interesting read.
Another aspect most will like is how light of a read this is. It’s only near a couple hundred pages, so it won’t take you an overly long time to finish off this book. It is also a nice, small sized book. You could possibly even fit it into a large pocket, making it easy for travel.
This is a great book for a casual and informative read. It might be an interesting choice to share with a study or prayer group. Being a light read, it wouldn’t be too large of an undertaking for the members of your group.

Note to the reader: I have received this book free of charge using the Thomas Nelson Publishers BookSneeze program.
